Phoenix
Don't let Phenix's age fool you! He is a very active and curious fellow, as well as super friendly. His owner loved him so very much, but had to give him up when he was moving to a place that did not allow pets. Phenix wants to live out the rest of his "golden years" in a happy home.

Photo of Ralphie
Ralphie
Handsome, smart, active hound seeks loving family for moonlight or daylight walks, evening cuddling, and frequent games of fetch and tug. If you want smart, curious and never- ending loyalty and energy, look no further.... Ralphie is your guy!Weighing in at just over 40lbs and having about 4-years of life behind him, he still has the activity level of a pup. Ralphie is crate trained and said to be house broken. Ralphie likes to be the center of attention when playing with the other dogs, but seems to settle in to the pack over time. He would do best as an only dog or with submissive dogs. He has taken an obedience class and did very well, learning various basic commands. He is used to older children/teens. Ralphie is curious and can get into trouble, so activities that help relieve his boredom are recommended. He can be vocal at times (what basset is not?). He will need a strong owner to show him the rules and help mold his behavior. Are you up to it? If so, he promises to always be very affectionate and to seek to please you. Basically, he just wants to be loved by someone!

*If you are interested in this fun-loving fellow, please call the Humane Society to set up an appt. for his foster parent to bring him in to meet you at 937-268-7387.
